Eyes of the Child

"Through the eyes of a child,
You will see the world
Just as it ought to be."

It seems to me that adults look down too much on children. Their eloquent speech and look of sophistication; they were wiser with all of their many years of experience. Yet, they still scream at each other and throw tantrums or make ignorant comments. And some things, with their jaded eyes, they just don't understand.

Adults walk through the streets with a purpose, a place to go. Everyone kept their eyes straight ahead or on the watches around their wrist. "I'll be late for work." No one bothered to glance up at the sky.

And you know, it was such a nice day.

But amongst this grayness, there's always a splash of color.
A child's eyes see everything. They are the ones who look for and notice the beautiful things in life. They are the beautiful innocence in the world.

Each generation's duty is to protect the future of the next generation. The future of the world depends on them. We must preserve their innocence and imagination. They should understand and see the war, starvation, and hatred among us today, but remain untainted so they can lead us into a new dawn without all of this pain. To protect them, to guide them, and to nurture them - that is our greatest obligation. The children are the Kings of the coming Future.

The children are the future.

What we put into their hearts and into their eyes is what they will grow to see - and we must take responsibility. But before we feed them propaganda and teach them the ugliness, tend to their imaginative minds and their innocent hearts.

We are the roots that support the great tree.
